Ultrasound

All services are completely confidential and are offered at no cost.

At our clinic, we are able to offer limited obstetric ultrasounds. Even if you have had a positive pregnancy test, only a physician can diagnose you as pregnant. We are able to administer ultrasounds to those who have had a positive pregnancy test. Our sonographer (ultrasound technologist) will take take pictures with our ultrasound machine and will send them to our physician. With these pictures, the doctor looks for three things:

  1. Is the pregnancy developing in the right place, the uterus?
  2. Is there a heartbeat?
  3. How far along is the pregnancy (gestational age)?

Over 20% of pregnancies end on their own and are not viable.[1] An ultrasound will determine if your pregnancy is viable and how many weeks you are. This information is very important when considering your pregnancy options because how many weeks you are can determine what options are available to you regarding your pregnancy.
